High School English Intensive (June-July): A six-week course for high schoolers that integrates reading, writing, critical thinking, and creativity—important skills for academic and professional success. Students will collaborate to develop strategies for reading comprehension and analysis across diverse genres, compose original texts serving various purposes and audiences, build revising and editing skills via structured feedback sessions, and produce a final written project demonstrating mastery of skills.
College Essay Workshop: As high schoolers embark upon the arduous college application process, this interative workshop aims to guide students in transforming personal experiences into compelling college essays—UC Personal Insight Questions (PIQs), CommonApp Personal Statement + Supplemental Essays, and more. Through brainstorming sessions, writing exercises, and personalized feedback, students will not only present great essays to the admissions committee, but ones of clarity, authenticity, and, most importantly, personality.
Summer Math Workshops:
We offer pro bono classes to support and reinforce students' understanding of the material taught in school. Open to all students and covering a majority of subject areas, these classes are specifically designed to enhance academic confidence and performance. Our tutors are specially trained to work with students in small groups to ensure personalized attention and active engagement. Each session emphasizes individual support, where students are encouraged to solve problems and submit their work, either by sharing their screens or sending images, for real-time feedback and evaluation.
Through this highly interactive approach and frequent opportunities to ask questions, students benefit from a responsive learning environment that keeps them motivated and on track with their education.
We offer high-quality, in-person classes across a wide range of subjects, covering most core middle and high school curricula. Each class is fine-tuned to a particular subject and led by experienced tutors who are dedicated in fostering an interactive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation.
To ensure individualized support and attention, we maintain a maximum tutor-to-student ratio of 8:1, with an average ratio of 4:1. These classes are designed with a comprehensive curriculum that covers concepts and materials far beyond what most teachers typically teach at schools. We strive in helping students build an excellent foundation for their mathematics and language skills, which will greatly reduce stress-levels and enhance test-taking skills when taking the SAT/ACT/SAT Subject/AP exams for college admissions.
